The Tswane University of Technology is a 60 000 student rich institution with a geographic footprint covering the South African provinces of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and the North-West.
Founded in 2004 as the result of the merger between three technikons, the university offers programmes across the faculties of science; arts; humanities; management sciences; information and communication technology; economics and finance; and engineering and the built environment.
Tswane University of Technology’s has seven campuses: Arts, Arcadia, eMalahleni, Ga-Rankuwa, Mbombela, Pretoria and Soshanguve.
Among the state of the art sports facilities available are two swimming pools; athletics, hockey, cricket, rugby and soccer fields; as well as netball and squash courts.
The university’s department of journalism was ranked as one of the 12 potential centres of excellence in journalism training in Africa by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
