A rural based institution founded in 1960, the University of Zululand‘s main campus is located in the Northern Kwazulu Natal region of Kwadlangezwa with another in Richards Bay as well as other off-campus centres.
Situated near Durban, Unizulu is the only university north of the Uthukela River and offers over 252 accredited degree, diploma and certificate courses in the fields of arts; commerce; administration and law; education; and science and agriculture.
The institution’s Richard’s Bay campus is home to the school of public relations, transport management and hospitality management, aimed at increasing Unizulu’s entrepreneurial and vocational agenda.
The university’s internationally acclaimed Science Centre, which was established over 25 years ago, has been honoured for encouraging interest in science, engineering and technology and boasts over 130 locally and globally produced innovative exhibits.
